Agent confirms 35-year-old Man United target will leave club in January

As the agent of Patrice Evra has revealed, his client is set to leave Serie A champions Juventus in the January transfer window, and is ready to discuss any offer that comes in.

The 35-year-old Frenchman has joined the Italian giants back in 2014 but has fallen down the pecking order under Massimiliano Allegri.

The veteran defender has been strongly linked with a sensational return to Old Trafford, where Evra spent eight successful years between 2006 to 2014.

And as per his agent, Federico Pastorello, Evra is set to leave the Old Lady because of a lack of playing time.

During his interview, Pastorello said: ‘I think he will probably leave Juventus in January.’

Last week, Pastorello fuelled speculations that he was set for a return to the Premier League by insisting that there were several offers on the table for the experienced defender.

‘I’ve been receiving a lot of calls. He would like to be playing more often,’ the agent confirmed.

Man United boss Jose Mourinho is keen to add more experience to his young squad and is hopeful the likes of Luke Shaw could learn from the veteran.

The Special One often signed older players to add experience to his squads, signing likes of Samuel Eto’o and Didier Drogba during his second stint at Chelsea.
