According to the Sky Sports journalist Vinny O’Connor, Manchester United star Morgan Schneiderlin will have a medical at Everton ahead of reported move.
It is believed that Everton agreed a £22m transfer deal with the Red Devils last night for the 27-year-old France international.
O’Connor was attending Everton training ground recently and although Schneiderlin hasn’t arrived, he is expected imminently.
During Sky Sports’ Transfer Centre show, O’Connor said: “There’s no sign of Morgan Schneiderlin yet but he is expected later today.
“He is expected to undergo a medical. The basic plan is for Everton to push this deal through as quickly as possible and then get him training with his new team-mates ready for the Super Sunday clash – Everton vs Manchester City.
“It’d be a big bonus for Everton to be able to unveil Morgan Schneiderlin and have him available for the massive game at the weekend.
“He’s not here yet at Everton’s Finch Farm training ground but a deal is in the offing after the two clubs agreed a fee.
“Everton are paying around the £22m mark with deal rising to £24m with add-ons.”
And as O’Connor revealed, Morgan Schneiderling is not the only Man United player Everton are willing to sign, as Memphis Depay is also firmly on Ronald Koeman’s radar.
He added: “Everton are also in the market for a centre-half.
“They want Memphis Depay too and were interested in a loan move but United are only looking to let players go, that are surplus to requirements, on a permanent deal.”
