Antonio Conte determined to sign 26-year-old Serie A winning full-back

December 8, 2017

Chelsea reportedly ready to renew their interest in Brazilian defender Alex Sandro, ahead of the January transfer window.

Defending Premier League champions were keen on to bring the Juventus defender to Stamford Bridge during the last summers transfer window and were rumoured to be willing to spend around £60m in order to lure in the Premier League.

According to The Express, Antonio Conte may have better success signing the South American defender in the winter as he will likely get bigger financial backing from Roman Abramovich.

That is because Alex Sandro’s compatriot David Luiz is on the radar of Real Madrid and expected to leave the club after the end of the current campaign following the bust-up with Antonio Conte.

Serie A champions are believed to be in talks with Sandro over a new contract which would see him to earn around £4.5m per year until 2021.

Chelsea have to act quickly in order to lure Brazilian defender at Stamford Bridge before he reaches an agreement with Italian champions and put pen on the paper.
