Arsenal hold a £35.3m deal to sign Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi, according to reports in Spain.
As per El Gol, the Gunners have accepted a transfer worth £32.61m, plus an additional £2.64m in bonuses, for the French DMF.
Last week, Sevilla president Jose Castro rejected there had been any offers for the Frenchman, but it seems Arsenal may have made a breakthrough.
President of Sevilla Jose Castro Carmona looks on earlier to the game Sevilla FC versus FC Barcelona as part of the Spanish Super Cup Final 1st Leg at Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on August 14, 2016 in Seville, Spain.
It is believed that N’Zonzi hopes to leave in the winter window, as he admitted that his future is entirely elsewhere than in Seville, having fallen out with the club in recent weeks.
There were reports he’d travelled to London to negotiate with the Gunners, but those turned out to be false, as he’d only come over to visit his son.
The 28-year-old has missed five Sevilla matches in a row, after being unloaded to the squad due to a result of management last November.
Reports regarding N’Zonzi’s deal with London giants being done may be early, but it looks like midfielder will be on the move in January. So if the Gunners are involved, now would be the time to perform.
