Arsenal are interested in signing of Serie A champions Juventus defensive rock Daniele Rugani, according to the reports from Italy.
The 23-year-old defender has struggled to displace Leonardo Bonucci, Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini in Juventus starting XI and his agent, Davide Torchia, has confirmed that Arsenal are interested in securing the services of his client.
Italy international defender has played just 11 games for the Serie A champions this campaign.
Torchia told Radio Sportiva: “Daniele’s doing well – I’m happy for him.
“Arsenal? They didn’t launch any assaults for him.
“They expressed a liking for him, but we have respect for Juventus.”
Italian defender grew up playing his youth football for Empoli joining the club at the age of 6.
Rugani was signed by Juventus back in July 2013 in a co-ownership deal for €500,000 and then sent back to Empoli for a season-long loan deal.
The Italian defender has played a key role as Empoli finished the 2017/18 season in second place and secured promotion to Serie A.
He remained with Empoli for the next season, however, Juventus bought out the remaining half of his registration rights back in 2015 for an additional €3.5 million and now Italian defender could make a switch to Arsenal.
