According to the reports from ESPN, Arsenal are in danger of losing highly-rated midfielder Gedion Zelalem to Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.
The United Stated U-23 international has only managed 17 minutes of action for the north London club this term, making two substitute appearances in the EFL Cup.
However, the Borussia Dortmund are still desperate to sign the midfielder – who has been tipped for big things in the past.
The same sources also claim that Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel hopes to lure the USA international to Signal Iduna Park by promising him more playing time.
Zelalem could be tempted for a return to Germany, as the youngster was born in Berlin and played for Hertha Berlin’s youth teams.
While the 19-year-old Zelalem has struggled for playing time this term, last time round he had more chances during a loan period with Scottish giants Rangers.
The teenage star has made 28 appearances for Rangers, providing eight assists along the way as he looked to impress enough to earn a chance at the north London club.
However, those efforts appear to have been in vain, with no chances coming despite the Gunners on-loan star Jack Wilshere being sent out on temporary basis and Santi Cazorla being injured.
