Arsenal and Manchester United are reportedly the favourites to sign Shakhtar Donetsk star Fred during the January transfer window.
The Gunners have already made one signing during the January transfer window with the £2million signing of Greek U-21 international defender Konstantinos Mavrapons, although he won’t formally join the club in the summer.
Manchester United head-coach Jose Mourinho meanwhile, is expected to be handed the huge amount of money to strengthen their squad.
A striker and a defender are high on the list of top targets, with Bordeaux forward Malcom and Tottenham Hotspur Danny Rose are both on their wishlist.
However, according to Star on Sunday, Donetsk midfielder Fred is being monitored by Premier League giants.
The report claimed that the Red Devils and Gunners have signalled the most interest from the English clubs.
Man City are also in the mix, and the report suggests as many as ten clubs want to lure him.
Fred is currently contracted with Ukrainian club until 2021.
Although he has previously served a drugs ban for testing positive for a diuretic, that hasn’t put off some of Europe’s big guns.
Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, Napoli and Valencia are all supposedly ready to make moves for his signature.
And the Star claims that PSG are also keen on to sign him.
