Arsenal have reportedly intensified their efforts to land Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina during the summer transfer window.
Shortly after the end of the season, Lemina announced that he was flattered by alleged interest displayed in his services by Arsenal and Watford.
The Hornets seem to have turned their attentions abroad but according to Italian reporter Tancredi Palmeri, The Gunners are pressing on with their offer to take the 23-year-old to the Emirates Stadium.
It has been suggested that talks between the two sides are already underway with Arsenal expected to be able to offer Lemina more first-team football over the coming seasons.
He has played just 15 Serie A starts in two seasons in Turin, and with Juventus having been linked with both Steven N’Zonzi and Andre Gomes, it seems that they are looking to reinforce in the centre of midfield.
At times last campaign, Arsenal were criticised for their lack of steel and Lemina would be able to fix that aspect of their game should Arsene Wenger be able to fight fora a deal.
