Atletico Madrid may be willing to sell Arsena and Macnhester United long-term target Jose Gimenez, according to the reports from Spain.
The 22-year-old defender is recently believed to have signed a new deal to commit his future to the Spanish club until 2020,. although the La Liga club yet to officialy confirm the deal.
His deal was set to expire in June 2018, However, Atletico moved to protect the value of the South American defender.
Man Utd and Arsenal have been linked with a move for the 22-year-old centre-back, who Atletico will listen to offers for according to Calciomercato.
Gimenez has a release clause of £58million and both Premier League duo will have to splash the money in order to lure him away from Wanda Metropolitano.
The tough-tackling defender held talks with Arsene Wenger’s side earlier in the summer.
However, the Gunners managed to get the deal with German centre-back Mustafi over the line so instead shelved their interest in the centre-half for the time being.
