West Brom: Chadli rumours rubbished by Pulis
Tony Pulis has rubbished suggestions Nacer Chadli could go down a similar path to Saido Berahino after flying to Germany for treatment.

The Belgium international has yet to play a single minute of Premier League football this season due to a back problem and will have a pain killing injection from celebrity sports doctor Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt this weekend in the hope of being passed fit to face Leicester on Monday.

Having fallen out with Pulis during pre-season, Chadli’s situation slightly mirrors Berahino’s troubles towards the end of his spell at the Hawthorns.

This time last year the now Stoke striker was seeing a specialist in Europe to help his physical and mental well being before it was revealed that he was serving an eight week ban for drugs use.

Pulis was asked whether there was anything more to Chadli’s absence following the Berahino saga and the West Brom boss was at pains to dismiss there was anything untoward going on.

“It’s totally different to Saido,” he said. “He’s gone to see Wohlfahrt in Germany and we’re happy with it. It’s all been agreed and sorted out.

“We’re disappointed he can’t come straight back but once he has the injection we expect him to be a lot looser in his lower back and we think that will improve the chances of keeping him fit.”
