Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata admits he would welcome the chance to return to his former clubReal Madrid.
The 24-year-old Spaniard became Chelsea’s club-record signing in the summer and has made an incredible start to his time at Stamford Bridge with eight goals in 14 matches this season.
Alvaro Morata was given limited playing time by Zinedine Zidane last season and insists he was advised to leave by the French boss. But the attacker has now opened the door for a return to the Spanish champions in the future.
‘I felt important for Madrid, but I wanted to play in the knockout stages of the Champions League,’ Morata told Cadena SER. ‘I told the coach I wanted to play more, to say that I wanted to go is nonsense. ‘The critics do not affect me. Of course, I would return to Real Madrid, but it’s complicated.
