According to reports from The Evening Standard, Premier League giants Chelsea are lining up a transfer move for German sensation Jann‑Fiete Arp.

The 17-year-old Arp, who is rated as one of the most exciting young talents in the Bundesliga, is currently at the winter training camp of Hamburg but he is yet to be handed a deal at the German club.

The same sources also claim that the Stamford Bridge club are ready to capitalise on Arp’s situation at the Volksparkstadion, with the talented youngster potentially available on a free transfer.

However, the Blues may come up against competition from Bundesliga duo Wolfsburg and Leipzig if they do attempt to bring the highly-rated teenager to west London. Arp has impressed for Germany at Under-16 and Under-17 level.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has already recalled defender Nathan Ake from his loan spell at Bournemouth and it is understood the Italian tactician is not yet finished in the January transfer window.

During his interview, Conte said: ‘There are some positions that, if we are able to find a resolution, it’s important to take a good solution. It wont be easy but, for sure, we are talking about this.’
