Chelsea first-team star rejects mega offers to stay at Stamford Bridge

December 26, 2016

According to the English media outlets, Chelsea legendary captain John Terry is ready to snub any mega-money offers that come his way in order to help his side to claim the Premier League title at the end of the season.

The former England international has been forced to adopt a more limited role under the Italian head coach Antonio Conte this term and has only featuring in five Premier League matches to date.

However, the reports from Daily Mail claim that 36-year-old John Terry is determined to stay at Stamford Bridge and help the west London giants to bag the title in possibly his final season at the club.

It has also been reported that several Chinese clubs, including Guangzhou Evergrande, were interested in signing veteran centre-back and considering launching a January bid for the ex-England captain. But the Chelsea icon will put off any decisions over his future until the summer transfer window.

Chelsea, who have a difficult calendar on the Boxing Day due to injuries and suspensions, are currently leading the Premier League table.

John Terry returned to full training last week following a buttock injury and he is expected to feature in Chelsea’s matches in near future.
