As per the Daily Mail, Steaua Bucuresti attacker Florinel Coman has emerged as a transfer target for Chelsea.
The 19-year-old youngster, who predominantly plays as a left winger but is equally adept across the front line, has been capped five times by Romania’s Under-21 side.
Florinel Coman was given his first chance when he was promoted from Vitorul Constanta’s academy by legendary countryman Gheorghe Hagi back in 2015 and was duly snapped up by Steaua in August.
The same sources also claim that Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo flew to Romania last week to watch Coman in Steaua’s 1-0 win over city rivals Dinamo Bucharest.
It is believed that Steaua owner Gigi Becali has inserted an £88m release clause in Coman’s contract deal as the club regard him to be at the same level as Kylian Mbappe.
Also, Chelsea have emerged as frontrunners to sign Paris Saint-Germain superstar striker Edinson Cavani, should the Uruguayan depart Parc Des Princes in January.
The 30-year-old Cavani and PSG teammate Neymar became involved in an on-pitch spat during the side’s 2-0 victory over Lyon earlier in September as they bickered over who should take a spot kick.
The row is said to have escalated after the game, with rumours suggesting that the pair had to be kept apart in the dressing room afterwards and that the world-record signing subsequently demanded that Cavani be sold.
