Chelsea ready to challenge EPL giants in race for 26-year-old Brazilian star

Chelsea are poised to beat their Premier League rivals Manchester United in the race to sign Juventus full-back Alex Sandro from Juventus, according to reports.

Antonio Conte‘s side attempted to sign the Brazilian left-back in the summer, however,, failed to agree on a fee with the defending Serie A champions.

Juventus are now ready to listen to offers for the 26-year-old defender, who has reportedly told the Italian giants over his desire to leave the club.

The Daily Mirror reported that Chelsea boss has made the signing of Brazilian defender one of his priorities during the January transfer window and ready to offer around £50 million for his signature.

The report also claims that should Chelsea secure Sandro, their Premier League rivals, Manchester United chances of signing Danny Rose from Spurs will increase.

The Red Devils head-coach is reportedly in the market for a new left-back and Sandro alongside with Danny Rose has been on top of his wishlist.

Sandro, meanwhile, reportedly favours a switch to Chelsea ahead of Manchester United.

The 26-year-old defender has been a regular for Italian champions this campaign, however, has been criticised by manager Massimiliano Allegri for his performance.
