Chelsea desperate to keep Antonio Conte by offering him £95m double deal

According to the latest transfer news, Chelsea are closing in on both Juventus left-back Alex Sandr and Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko as they step up their efforts to finally land their first signing of the summer.

The Blues head coach Antonio Conte has grown increasingly frustrated with Chelsea’s lack of transfer activity and had expected the club to have confirmed several new arrivals already.

As per The Guardian, the lack of progress on the transfer market has greatly frustrated the former Juventus boss as rumours have grown of a fall out with the club’s hierarchy.

A new contract offer had been on the table for several months but the 47-year-old Italian is yet to sign, and Premier League champions hope their show of strength in the transfer market will get Antonio Conte back on side.

The Italian reports back to first-team training in the first week of July and Chelsea hope to have two top-class signings waiting for him when he returns.

It is believed that Juventus will be offered a new and improved £55m transfer fee for Alex Sandro, which the club are confident will be accepted. On the other side, Bakayoko has long been a target and the Blues are confident a deal of around £40m will be wrapped up shortly.

Chelsea made approach to sign 23-year-old Sevilla key star

According to the Spanish media sources, Chelsea have made an approach to Sevilla over a move for Sergio Rico in the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old Sergio Rico has made 128 appearances for Sevilla since breaking into the first-team back in 2014 but the highly-rated goalkeeper is being linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge ahead of the 2017/18 season.

The recent reports from Marca claim that the Blues have asked about the availability of the young shot-stopper, with the club manager Antonio Conte on the hunt for a new ‘keeper in the coming months.

Asmir Begovic has already completed a move to Bournemouth last month and the Premier League winners are scouring the market for the Bosnian’s potential replacement.

Sergio Rico, however, has a £26 million release clause in his current contract deal at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium so a deal for the Spain international will not come cheap.

Chelsea first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is expected to stay on with the Blues next season which means Sergio Rico would likely arrive at Stamford Bridge as the second-choice ‘keeper.

It is believed that Manchester City’s Willy Caballero is also firmly on Chelsea’s radar this summer.

Chelsea on red alert as 24-year-old world-class No.6 demands summer transfer

According to the latest transfer news, Chelsea are on red alert as Paris Saint-Germain star Marco Verratti has reiterated his desire to leave the French club this summer in another meeting with the club.

The 24-year-old midfield star is being chased by both Chelsea and Barcelona, with Antonio Conte a long-time fan of the Italian midfielder, whom he coached with the national team.

And as per the L’Equipe, Marco Verratti made it explicitly clear that he had no intention of staying at Parc Des Princes during a meeting with PSG sporting director Antero Henrique on Saturday.

The former Pescara man has even said he will boycott pre-season training with the club, which begins on July 4, in an effort to force though a move.

Marco Verratti is valued in excess of €80m (£69.9m) by the League 1 giants, who will do everything possible to keep him at the club despite his latest threat.

Antonio Conte would love to be reunited with Marco Verratti – who has described the  Blues head coach as ‘the best coach I have ever worked with’ previously – but he may be tempted elsewhere.

During the meeting with Henrique, he stated that his preference was to join Barcelona, who have made the 24-year-old a priority signing.
