Chelsea believes they are favourites to beat Premier League rivals Liverpool in the signing of £65million deal for Brazil international goalkeeper Alisson.
Brazil No.1 Alisson has attracted interest from Real Madrid and Liverpool with UCL finalist both are in need of a new stopper ahead of the next season.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea believes they have a good chance of signing Alisson ahead of Liverpool and Real Madrid.
That is because the Los Blancos have reportedly turned their attention from AS Roma star to Chelsea’s stopper Thibaut Courtois.
Belgium international has been repeatedly rumoured with a move to the Los Blancos and has made no secret of his admiration for the teams.
‘I have a certain preference, I already have ideas in my head, but I have moved everything until after the World Cup,’ Courtois said on Friday when discussing his future.
‘My children [who live in Madrid] are the most important thing for me: I now have one and a half years less contact with Chelsea.
‘FaceTime is beautiful, but seeing them grow up is something else, so my children will play an important role in my decision.’
Chelsea are in pole position to get the £65m deal get done for Brazilian stopper who has been one of the best in the World in the recent years.
