Chelsea set to challenge Man United in race for 27-year-old speedy England star

According to the reports, Premier League duo Chelsea and Manchester United have still got Tottenham Hotspur star Danny Rose in their sights.

The 27-year-old left-back has forged a reputation as one of the best attack-minded full-backs in the Premier League over the past couple of years.

And his incredible form for the Spurs has seen him linked with a cluster of their title-chasing rivals, including Chelsea and Man United.

Jose Mourinho’s side are believed to be interested in taking Rose to Man United amid continued doubts about Luke Shaw’s long-term future. And the latest reports claim that Portuguese manager wants the Leeds United academy graduate to bolster his backline.

As per the Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web, Danny Rose remains a target for the United gaffer. The transfer rumours specialists say Mourinho was after the defender over the summer.

However, Tottenham Hotspur refused to do business. It is also understood that Man United could make a move for Rose in January.

They indicate Chelsea are keeping tabs on him too though. The England international is currently out of action due to a long-term knee injury.
