Ioannis Evangelopoulos, who is the agent of AS Roma defender Kostas Manolas, has confirmed that alongside with Chelsea, another Premier League clubs are also chasing for the signature of his client, including Manchester City and Manchester United.
The 25-year-old Kostas Manolas has made 92 apps for the Serie A giants since making his debut for Stadio Olimpico side back in 2014 but the Greece international was linked with several Premier League clubs in the summer transfer window.
However, the Red Devils have signed centre-back Eric Bailly from Villarreal and Chelsea re-signed David Luiz on deadline day from PSG, while Manolas stayed put at Italian capital.
The highly-demanded Greek centre-back could now be set to sign a new deal at AS Roma but his agent confirmed that there was interest from Premier League top clubs over the summer.
During his interview with ESPN FC, Evangelopoulos said: “It is possible that Kostas will sign a new deal at Roma and we will see what they have got to say.
“There was strong interest in Kostas from top clubs like Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United in the summer and I am sure those clubs are still watching him.”
It is believed that Arsene Wenger was also interested in recruiting the £30m-rated Kostas Manolas before the transfer window slammed shut.
