According to the Spanish media, the president of Real Sociedad Jokin Aperribay has confirmed his club’s intent to seal the transfer of Manchester United outcast Andan Januzaj in the summer.
The 22-year-old Belgian is far down in Jose Mourinho’s pecking order at the moment, having seen a promising career stall since making his breakthrough in the 2013/14 season.
Once rated as Man United’s most exciting young talents, Januzaj now looks almost certain to leave the Theatre of Dreams this summer and has also been closely monitored by Serie A giants AS Roma.
Real Sociedad are also keen to sign the midfielder, though the president Aperribay accepts that his side are yet to open talks with the Red Devils and will face plenty of competition for the 22-year-old’s signature once they do.
During his interview, Aperribay confirms Real Sociedad’s interest in Man United player: ‘It’s true that we are interested (in Januzaj) but we are not in talks with Manchester or with him.
‘We are waiting for the decision of Manchester United and then we will act. There are more teams interested in him and his signing won’t be easy.’ He added.
