Deal Close: The 31-year-old experienced centre-forward ready to join Chelsea

January 10, 2017

According to the English media outlets, Swansea City forward Fernando Llorente is ready to seal a transfer move to Chelsea as long as he is promised one thing by the Blues manager Antonio Conte.

It is believed the west London giants are considering either a permanent or loan move for the powerful striker, who is hugely admired by Antonio Conte from their time together at Juventus.

The reports from Telegraph claim that 31-year-old Llorente is keen on a switch to Stamford Bridge as long as the Italian boss is able to guarantee that he’s only behind Diego Costa in the pecking order at Chelsea.

Such a move is likely to see the Blues’ summer signing Michy Batshuayi go out on loan after the Belgian’s disappointing start to life with the west London outfit.

The Swans have expressed an interest in Michy Batshuayi but the 23-year-old youngster would prefer to remain in London and join up with West Ham United for the remainder of the season.

Antonio Conte admitted: ‘It’s important to talk with my club for sure. There are some positions that, if we are able to find a resolution, it’s important to take a good solution. It wont be easy but, for sure, we are talking about this.’
