Chelsea have reportedly identified Serie A champions Juventus playmaker Miralem Pjanic as a potential transfer target this summer.
Earlier this week, it was reported that the Blues transfer plans had been left in disarray, with the Blues yet to make the decision over Antonio Conte’s future.
Ex-Napoli head-coach Maurizio Sarri is expected to replace Conte eventually and according to Corriere dello Sport, Chelsea have reacted by considering a move for Juventus midfielder who has impressed in Serie A for years.
Pjanic has enjoyed stunning two years in Turin, with 14 goals being scored in 89 games in all competitions, while the Bosnia-Herzegovina international still has three years remaining on his contract.
However, the Catlan giants, Barcelona have already been credited with an interest in former AS Roma mand, and it appears that the Blues are ready to rival the Spanish giants as they look to strengthen in the middle of the park ahead of the next season.
The report has suggested that Juventus will demand in the region of £70m to part ways with Pjanic has still three years left on his current deal.
