Chelsea attacking midfielder Charly Musonda has signed a new contract deal with the west London club which will run until 2022.
The highly-rated Belgian has established himself as a first-team player this season and scored on his full debut during a 5-1 win against Nottingham Forest in the League Cup in September.
Musonda has spent two stints on loan with La Liga outfit Real Betis and is highly-rated by Chelsea’s academy staff. The 23-year-old midfielder clashed with Antonio Conte earlier this term when he hit out at the club on social media but he was ecstatic today to pen a new long-term deal.
After the Belgian signed new deal, Musonda said: ‘I am very happy and very proud. I came here very young and am very happy to continue my journey here. I love this club so it’s a great moment for me and my family.
‘Now I want to establish myself and progress into the team and stay here permanently.’
