Everton head-coach Marco Silva has earmarked Man United defender Victor Lindelof as a priority £35m signing, according to the reports from Britain.
The Portuguese manager is believed to have handed over a list of summer transfer targets to Everton’ hierarchy after holding discussions with the club director Marcel Brands.
The Red Devils centre-back Lindelof is among those under consideration by the Merseyside Blues, with the Sweden international enduring a difficult debut campaign at Old Trafford.
Following a £31.5m transfer from Portugues giants Benfica last year, the 23-year-old was restricted to 13 Premier League appearances as he struggled to secure first-team football under Jose Mourinho.
Silva is believed to have had his eyes on Swedish defender since impressing for Portuguese club between 2013 and 2017, however, it is unknown whether Jose Mourinho is ready to offload.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are desperate to sign Real Madrid defensive rock Raphael Varane who is expected to leave the three times Champions League winners and Old Trafford has been identified as his possible destination for the next campaign.
