Everton and Newcastle target Bas Dost has ruled out a move in the January window.
The two Premier League sides were strongly linked to the Dutchman with some reports suggesting that both clubs had formal bids rejected.
The 28-year-old scored a staggering 34 goals in just 31 league games for Sporting Lisbon last season leading to much summer speculation.
Now Dost, who already has four goals in eight games this term, is already being linked with a move away when the window opens in January.
Everton, in particular, are in desperate need of a new striker having sold Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United in the summer.
However, they can forget about signing Dost when the window opens as the Dutchman is adamant he is going nowhere.
He told AD: “I’m not waiting for a winter transfer at all.
“I’m excited at Sporting and I want to be a champion here. I’m not leaving in the winter break.”
