It is believed that Jose Mourinho has expressed an interest in bringing Benfica young goalkeeper Mile Svilar to Manchester United.
The 18-year-old prodigy was in between the sticks for both of his side’s Champions League defeats to the Red Devils this season.
Svilar, who broke the record of Iker Casillas as the youngest goalkeeper to play in UCL game, carried Marcus Rashford’s ball over the line in the first game at the Estadio da Luz then scored an own goal at Old Trafford in the return leg.
Despite his mistakes, Portuguese publication Correrio da Manha claims that Jose Mourinho has had talks with Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira about a future deal for the shot-stopper.
Mile Svilar has made five appearances for the Portuguese giants in all competitions this season, keeping two clean sheets.
Also, Man United are plotting a transfer move for Paris Saint-Germain out-of-favourite defender Thomas Meunier.
The 26-year-old Thomas Meunier had an impressive debut campaign at PSG last term but the Belgian is struggling for game-time following the arrival of Brazilian right-back Dani Alves ahead of the 2017/18 season.
The Belgian international admitted earlier this month that he’s ‘frustrated’ with a lack of minutes under the PSG boss Unai Emery which appears to have put the Red Devils on alert.
The reports from Daily Express claim that the Premier League giants are ready to make a £30m move for Meunier and have been keeping tabs on the full-back for some time.
