According to the latest transfer news, Liverpool are considering to bring the Brazilian teenage star Thiago Maia at Merseyside club, as Jurgen Klopp is appeared to be a big admirer of the talented youngster.
It is believed that three other European clubs are also willing to get the signature of 19-year-old, with the Premier League giants facing competition from Napoli, Monaco and Schalke.
The reports from ESPN Brazil claim that Brazilian club have already rejected an €18m offer of from Russian giants Zenit St Petersburg and are looking for a higher bid to secure the midfielder’s services.
Serie A outfit Napoli have reportedly launched an offer around €12m. But in Maia’s contract deal, which runs out in 2019, it states that the player would receive 30% of the fee for any transfer – which could drive the club’s asking price up.
During his interview, Santos starlet said: “I was an Olympic champion and, in Santos, we had a regular season, the São Paulo title and the Brazilian runner-up. The Saints and my representatives decide if it’s time for a transfer. If it’s to stay, the supporter can rest easy, I want to repeat the good season, play Libertadores and be a champion.”
