Juventus and Liverpool could get a huge boost in their pursuit for Lazio centre-back Stefan de Vrij, with the Serie A outfit ready to lower their price for Dutch star.
Lazio are having a superb 2017/18 season under Simone Inzaghi, with the likes of Ciro Immobile, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Luis Alberton and Stefan De Vrij all have found their best forms this term.
However, it seems that Rome-based club are ready to let one of their key players to leave on the relative cheap.
In an interview with TMW Radio, Italian sports reporter Niccolo Ceccarini stated: “On De Vrij, it seems like Lazio may have lowered their demands concerning his release clause.
“At 25 million euros, an agreement can be found. As for his salary, Lazio will offer him a big salary which would see him become one of the highest paid players in their team if he renews his deal with the club”.
Liverpool are desperate to sign a world-class centre-back in January to replace under-fire defender Dejan Lovren and De Vrij seems to be an ideal candidate alongside with his international teammate Virgil van Dijk.
