According to the latest transfer news, Liverpool have to face competition from La Liga outfit Valencia, as the Spanish side are also desperate to sign Paris-Saint Germain winger Jese Rodriguez.
The 23-year-old explosive attacker has began his career in Spain after working his way through the Real Madrid youth academy and joined PSG in a €25m transfer deal in the summer. However, he has failed to get his place in starting lineup in Unay Emery team and has started only one match in Ligue 1 this season.
It is believed that number of European club are interested in recruiting the 23-year-old striker, with Merseyside giants Liverpool being unveiled as one of the club’s competing for his signature as Jurgen Klopp is determined to reinforce his squad for the second phase of the season.
As the Spanish publication Plazadeportiva claim, with La Liga club Las Palmas also preparing a move, another Spanish outfit Valencia have earmarked Jese Rordiguez as a potential winter recruit.
Valencia owner Peter Lim, who has a good relationship with PSG’s mega-rich owner Al-Khelaifi, is hopeful to use his connections to edge out the competition for the ex-Real Madrid striker.
