Balde says that Liverpool has approached Nigerian with a proposal to join them next season, and the midfielder has given his consent to the move, but the Reds still need to agree on a fee with Leicester for his transfer.

Ndidi signed for the Foxes from Genk back in January 2017 and has helped to fill the void left by N’Golo Kante, making 57 appearances and scoring four times.

The 21-year-old has been praised for his work rate and physicality at the heart of the Leicester midfielder and now he appears to be ready to move on to bigger and better things.

Leicester shelled out £15.8m for the talented midfielder in the past, but now Liverpool would likely be required to pay a significantly larger fee.

Euro Giants Confirmed Interest in Key Liverpool Man

Emre Can remains Juventus’ top summer target but if they fail in their pursuit of the Liverpool man, general manager Giuseppe Marotta would not rule out a move for Jack Wilshere.

Both the Germany international and the Arsenal midfielder are out of contract in the summer and are free to negotiate an exit from the Premier League with foreign clubs.

Arsenal and Liverpool remain keen to keep them, but Italian giants Juventus are thought to be keen on securing a cut-price deal. However, the Serie A outfit are more keen on landing the Liverpool central midfielder, who is their top summer target.

When asked about their transfer policy, Marotta told ANSA: ‘It is well-known that we are concentrating on Emre Can, who will have to give us an answer. ‘He will be the first goal if he shows interest.’

Emre Can said:‘I haven’t signed for any other club; I’m just focused on this season. ‘We want to finish in second place in the Premier League, we’re in the Champions League quarter-finals and we want to progress. ‘That’s all I’m focused on now.
