According to the reports, Liverpool have not made an approach to sign Ajax attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech, despite claims that the Merseyside giants are moving to snap him up as a potential replacement for Philippe Coutinho.
The 24-year-old Ziyech impressed for Ajax last season as the Eredivisie giants reached the final of the Europa League, where they came up short against Manchester United.
Speculation over Philippe Coutinho’s future at Liverpool is continuing to intensify with Barcelona ready to test the Reds’ resolve and 24-year-old Ziyech is being touted as a replacement.
But, as per the De Telegraaf, the Reds have not yet made an approach for the Morocco international.
The reports also claim that Ajax are not prepared to part with their key star and Merseyside giants will be forced to look elsewhere should they step up their interest.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are interested in a deal for Barcelona versatile midfielder Rafinha as the La Liga giants continue to pursue Philippe Coutinho.
The reports from Mundo Deportivo suggest that Jurgen Klopp is aware that he will struggle to keep the Brazilian magician at Anfield, and Coutinho has already told the Liverpool boss that he wants a move to Camp Nou this summer.
It is believed that Klopp is keen on a deal for 24-year-old Rafinha and has asked Liverpool’s sporting director Michael Edwards to ensure that the club stays ahead of their rivals in the race for the Barcelona ace.
