According to the Times Jurgen Klopp is planning for a huge summer transfer window. Liverpool are set to make a move for Roma goalkeeper Alisson, Napoli midfielder Jorginho, as well as Coutinho’s replacement.
Last season was all about adding depth, but Klopp is ready to make the final changes to his club at the end of this season in an attempt to make them legitimate title claimants.
First of all, the signing of a highly-rated goalkeeper such as Alisson could win Liverpool games alone. The Brazilian keeper challenges Gianluigi Buffon as one of the best goalkeepers in Serie A and also remains on the No.1 spot for his national team ahead of Man City’s Ederson.
Liverpool are ready to shell out a massive price to land Alisson – with suggestions of a £70m price tag reporting.
Next on the target list is Napoli midfielder Jorginho – who many suspects to be the future of Italy’s midfield.
Maurizio Sarri has established Jorginho in a register role since taking the reigns almost three years ago; the Italian guides the play from deep within midfield using his vision and balance.
While the signing of Naby Keita this summer seems like a probable successor, the midfielder cannot play in the same style as the Brazilian.
Names such as Thomas Lemar, Riyad Mahrez and Manuel Lanzini proceed to pop up, and they will surely be explored in the upcoming months.
