According to the ESPN, Manchester United centre-back Eric Bailly has emerged as a transfer target for two London giants Chelsea and Arsenal.
The 24-year-old defender has not been involved in the Premier League for the Old Trafford side since April 7 and has not even made the squad for two of the team’s last four league fixtures.
Although Jose Mourinho has claimed that Bailly is not being picked as much because he does not need fine-tuning for the World Cup, doubt remains around the player’s future at Old Trafford.
As per the same sources, both London clubs are monitoring defender’s situation at United and are prepared to swoop should the Ivory Coast international become surplus to Mourinho’s requirements.
Bailly has largely impressed since joining Man United from Villarreal in 2016, making 54 appearances in all competitions.
Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho’s side been put on red alert after Serie A defender Milan Skriniar revealed his dream to one day play in England.
The 23-year-old defender has been strongly linked with an exit from San Siro. The Slovakia international defender has caught the attention of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester City.
And Skriniar revealed that a £53m bid has been turned down during the January transfer window.
