According to the reports, Manchester United have been made strong favourites to sign Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale this summer.
The speedy winger has netted a stunning equaliser for Real Madrid in thrilling El Clasico draw at Barcelona. But Bale has constantly been tipped to leave Spain and return to England in the near future.
With the summer transfer window set to open, the Welshman’s future is once again the subject of debate and it seems the bookmakers believe he will be plying his trade in the Premier League next season.
Bookies Coral make Manchester United the 2-1 favourites to sign the former Tottenham Hotspur winger this summer from Los Blancos. He is 11-4 to return to old club Spurs, while Liverpool are 7-2 to secure his services.
Coral’s John Hill told Starsport: “Despite scoring in El Clasico, Gareth Bale continues to be linked with a move away from Real Madrid.
“And it is Manchester United that punters are backing to sign the Welshman this summer.”
The likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Juventus, Bayern Munich and clubs in China are also seemingly in the mix to sign the 28-year-old.
Despite the ongoing talk surrounding Bale’s future, Real president Florentino Perez insists he wants his star to stay.
