According to the reports from the Daily Mirror, Manchester United are preparing a £35m bid for Benfica’s highly-regarded right-back Nelson Semedo, who has been linked with a departure from the club due to his impressive performances.
The same sources also claim that Man United are negotiating with the Portuguese giants but the club are reluctant to let the talented defender leave before the end of the campaign.
The Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho reportedly considering Nelson Semedo as the long-term successor on the right-back position at Man United.
The 23-year-old Semedo, who has been capped once by Portugal’s national team, has only emerged as Benfica’s first-choice right-back this term. Reports also claim that Man United have already sealed a sensational £38m transfer deal for Benfica’s another young defender Victor Lindelof, who will join the Old Trafford club officially when January transfer window opens.
The highly-rated Sweden international was spotted signing a Man United shirt last week, while reports in Portugal are claiming that the centre-back is signing a new contract with the Portuguese club which will raise his release clause.
According to Portuguese publication O Jogo, Victor Lindelof will earn around £58,000 per week at Old Trafford.
