Man United eye £92m bid for 21-year-old Ligue 1 explosive star

According to the latest reports, Manchester United are lining up a club-record £92m offer to sign Arsenal’s top transfer target Thomas Lemar in January transfer window.

The Red Devils are desperate to bring the France international at the Theatre of Dream, with club manager Jose Mourinho ready to get one over on Arsene Wenger again.

Arsenal are set to make another move for the 21-year-old Lemar, after missing out on the attacking star on transfer deadline day – with Alexis Sanchez missing out on a move to Manchester City as a result – but this time they will face serious competition from United, according to the Mirror.

The same sources also claim that Lemar’s advisors are aware of interest from Mourinho as the chase for the Frenchman hots up.

The Portuguese manager was frustrated at the club’s failure to land a winger in the summer and after failing to land Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic, he’s turned his attentions to Thomas Lemar.

Arsene Wenger, meanwhile, is desperate to sign him in order to replace Sanchez.

The 28-year-old Chilean superstar is expected to complete a move to Manchester City in January for a knockdown price of £20m.
