Man United offered chance to sign 186-goals Europe’s deadly No.9

February 13, 2018

It has been revealed by the Spanish media that Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been offered the chance to sign Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema next summer.

The former France international has been linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season, having produced disappointing returns of only five goals in 19 matches across all competitions this season – including just two in La Liga.

Man United have regularly been credited with an interest in a number of Real Madrid players, including the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Mateo Kovacic.

Spanish publication Diario Gol now insists that 30-year-old Benzema is the latest player to be linked with the Red Devils, although some their Premier League rivals have also been offered the chance to sign the ex-Lyon star.

Arsenal and Tottenham are amongst those to be named in the report, while the Serie A winners Juventus are also understood to be on the list of potential destinations for the striker.

The Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho ruled out any further attacking additions earlier this week, but Real Madrid are believed to favour a deal with Man United due to their desire to take David de Gea in the opposite direction.

Benzema previously played under Mourinho at Real Madrid, where he has scored 186 goals in 389 appearances.
