According to the latest transfer news, Manchester United could raid Celtic for the signings of Kieran Tierney and Moussa Dembele, as the Red Devils consider a £50 million double swoop.
Recent reports from the Daily Mirror claim that Man United head coach Jose Mourinho could add the striker and defender, despite the Scottish giants’ reluctance to sell the pair. The 20-year-old Keiran Tierney is considered as a potential replacement for Luke Shaw, who has plummeted down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
As per the same sources, Man United enquired about 21-year-old Moussa Dembele last January, but Celtic’s £40m valuation prevented a deal between the clubs. Tierney’s sensational development could see him packaged with Dembele, despite the youngster signing a new six-year deal in Glasgow.
The French striker scored 17 goals and provided five assists in the Scottish league last season, according to ESPN FC, proving himself to be one of the hottest young strikers in Europe.
Dembele was sensational at former club Fulham, and a return to England could be on the cards for the Frenchman.
At £50 million, Dembele and Tierney would represent an exceptional bargain in the current market, with both players talented enough to break into United’s starting XI.
