Man United reject Tottenham’s bid for £36m attacking star

August 13, 2017

According to the RMC Sport, Manchester United have rejected a bid from Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of French attacker Anthony Martial.

The 21-year-old Anthony Martial has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer after struggling to hold down a regular spot in Jose Mourinho’s team during the 2016-17 season.

The French forward managed to score 11 Premier League goals in his first season with the Red Devils but registered just four last term, and he did not play a single minute of the UEFA Super Cup clash against Real Madrid.

As per the reports from the same sources, Tottenham Hotspur have made an attempt to sign Anthony Martial, but Man United were quick to reject the offer as Jose Mourinho wants to keep the former AS Monaco attacker.

Both Tottenham and Man United will open their new Premier League campaigns on Sunday afternoon, with the former travelling to Newcastle United before the latter welcome West Ham United.

It is believed that man united are also keeping tabs on potential replacements of Anthony Martial.

Jose Mourinho is ready to switch transfer targets to RB Leipzig attacker Emil Forsberg this summer.

The Portuguese manager has made it clear that he’s keen to sign both creative winger and a new midfielder this summer, though the club have struggled to negotiate deals for their top targets.
