According to the English media sources, Manchester United central midfielder Marouane Fellaini has been linked with a move to China as Super League clubs are closely monitoring the Belgian.
The 29-year-old powerful midfielder is among five of his countrymen who have been targeted for a move to the Chinese Super League.
Radja Nainggolan from AS Roma, Christian Benteke from Crystal Palace, Dries Mertens from Napoli’s Dries Mertens, Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and Tottenham Hotspur star Mousa Dembele have all been linked with a move to China.
Marouane Fellaini has still featured regularly for Man United under the Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho, but the club may think that they need an upgrade if they are willing to challenge for the Premier League title this season.
The Belgium international has made 15 Premier League appearances this term, but only started once during their recent six-game winning streak.
If the former Toffees star was to move to China, he wouldn’t be the first high-profile Belgian player to go there – with Axel Witsel has recently joined Tianjin Quanjian.
Another big-name player from Premier League Oscar from Chelsea also sealed a shocking transfer move, by joining Shanghai SIPG this month.
