Matteo Darmian has been given the permission to seek a transfer away from Old Trafford, according to reports in the Italian media.

The right-back has struggled to hold a stable starting spot since switching to Old Trafford and is set to call time on his the Red Devils career.

Darmian is set to go back to Serie A after three years in England, with the Serie A giants Juventus all but prepared to sign the star after pursuing him since January.

The Italian website Calciomercato report that Matteo is set to sign a five-year deal in Turin, and be able to play on both flanks for the Italian giants.

The deal will cost the Old Lady over €13 million, and the club’s management hopes to confirm the deal by next week to get Matteo to Italy.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has also reportedly handed a green light for the deal, with the Portuguese manager not wanting to keep the star in the club anymore.

This season, in all competitions (Premier League, Champions League, FA CUP, EFL Cup), versatile defender Matteo Darmian has made 17 appearances and provided 2 assists.
