Fiorentina have reportedly upped their asking price for Manchester United and Liverpool long-term target Federico Chiesa to £62m amid interest from the Premier League.
The 20-year-old forward has established himself as a regular in the Fiorentina first team over the last two campaigns.
The La Viola had initially placed a price tag of £44m for Italian wonderkid, however, Gazzetta dello Sport claims that they have now increased that up to £62m in order to fend off interest from Premier League heavyweights.
Chiesa is also wanted by Serie A giants Napoli and Inter Milan and Fiorentina are unwilling to lower their demands following the interest in 20-year-old forward.
Chiesa – who is the son of ex-Italy international Enrico Chiesa – has joined Fiorentina at the age of 10 and has since gone on to score 10 goals in 72 games.
Last season Chiesa has managed to found back of the net 6 times while setting up nine more to his teammates.
The youngster’s fine form last campaign also earned him a call-up to the Italy squad, however, he won’t be able to perform at World-Cup following Italy’s failure in the qualification.
