According to the Italian media sources, Atletico Madrid superstar Antoine Griezmann is only the third target on Jose Mourinho’s list and the Portuguese tactician eyes two top-class players ahead of the 26-year-old France international.
Gianluca Di Marzio suggests that Manchester United’s interest in the Atletico Madrid No.7 is still there, but the Special is now prioritising moves for Real Madrid centre-forward Alvaro Morata and AS Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe.
The report also claims that Griezmann is not convinced by the proposal of League 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, but Atletico Madrid are already lining up replacements for their most valuable player.
Torino breakout star Andrea Belotti was wanted by Atletico manager Diego Simeone but the Argentine boss is instead focused on signing Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon and Diego Costa from Chelsea.
Speaking earlier this week Atletico’s assistant, Juan Vizcaino, suggested that the Red Devils could miss out on Griezmann this summer.
During his interview with Cadena Ser, Vizcaino said: ‘I think Griezmann will stay. t this stage, you can misinterpret remarks made by anyone.
‘But I think Griezmann has made it very clear in his mind that he will remain.’ He added.
