Southampton manager Mauricio Pellegrino says that he is ready to make more signings if the opportunity arises.
Pellegrino says that he is not expecting any additions to his squad soon but the club are ready to make a move if they can.
Southampton have made three signings so far this summer; Jan Bednarek, Mario Lemina and Wesley Hoedt.
The club spent over £30m on Hoedt and Lemina, with an additional £5m on Bednarek.
Speaking to the Daily Echo, Pellegrino said this about imminent signings:
At the beginning no, but you never know what will happen in the last minute. If there is some opportunity we are ready.
Lemina joined from Juventus in a club-record £18m, smashing the £16m record fee Southampton paid for Sofiane Boufal last summer.
The transfer window closes in just under a week, with clubs scrambling to get their business done in the final few days of the window.
It has been reported that Southampton are interested in signing a forward player, with Luciano Vietto having been linked throughout the summer.
The number nine shirt is still vacant following the departure of Jay Rodriguez to West Brom.
