Leeds United’s Raphinha is reportedly interested in joining Barcelona during this summer’s transfer market in spite of firm interest from Liverpool.
The 25-year-old star has again been in brilliant form for the Whites during the 2021-22 season, scoring nine times and laying on three assists in 27 games in all competitions.
He still has in excess of two years left to run on his deal at Elland Road but is likely to leave the club in the summer transfer window.
The Reds continue to be linked with the Brazilian star, while a recent report stated that Blaugrana’s hierarchy had made contact with his entourage to discuss a transfer.
According to Sport, the South American is aware of serious interest from both Jurgen Klopp’s side and Bayern Munich but has told his representative to negotiate a summer transfer to Spain.
He has scored 15 goals and picked up 12 assists in 59 appearances for his team since joining Jesse Marsch’s side from Rennes in October 2020.
The same publication also says that Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are also in the race for his signature. Leeds United are expected to ask for the £62.5 million buy-out clause in the winger’s deal is met.
