Forest caretaker manager Gary Brazil addressed the media ahead of his side’s FA Cup clash with Arsenal at the City ground tomorrow, and talked up the ability of Joe Worrall, suggesting that he would command around £10 million in the transfer market, as quoted by the Mirror.
The 20-year-old centre-back has really impressed for the Reds this season, appearing in all but one of his side’s Championship games, but unfortunately for them, his fine performances have not gone unnoticed.
According to a report from the Sun, Premier League side Burnley are lining up a swoop for the Forest man this month, and after Brazil’s comments, they will surely be encouraged to step up their pursuit.
The 55-year-old addressed the media ahead of his side’s clash with Arsenal tomorrow, and raved about Worrall’s ability, claiming that he is worth at least £10 million, as quoted by the Mirror:
“I’ve known him since he was 14. He’s a great example of what you can achieve in the game if you come in and work really hard. He’s really learned to apply himself and if you do that, you’ll continue to get better. He’s a player now I would suggest would get towards attaining £10million in the market.”
Sean Dyche will be desperate to add some quality to his squad this month, and £10 million for Worrall would represent a sound investment in today’s ludicrously inflated transfer market.
And if he manages to bring the Forest man to Turf Moor, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for Burnley.
