Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino is refusing to enter discussions with other teams before his deal with the Merseyside Reds runs out this summer, according to his agent.
Earlier this week, it was claimed that the South American forward would not be extending his Liverpool deal, which is set to expire at the end of the current campaign.
As a result, former Hoffenheim star will depart from Anfield as a free agent eight years after joining him back in 2015, and he is not expected to be short of suitors.
Clubs in Saudi Arabia are believed to make an effort to try to poach Brazilian forward away from Europe, while Atletico Madrid could also make a switch if Joao Felix joins Chelsea on permanent basis.
As many as three Serie A team are also believed to be lining up approaches, however, Firmino is yet to make a decision on his next move, as he remains fully committed to achieving success at Anfield for the next couple of months.
Speaking to Football Insider, Firmino’s agent Roger Wittmann claimed that Firmino currently has no desire to speak with other teams while he strives to return to his best form.
“Our plan for the next couple of weeks – this is the plan of Roberto – is to show the manager and Liverpool finally again the best version of him to say goodbye. This is what he wants to do,” Wittmann said.
