Gareth Bale’s agent has effectively ruled out the Real Madrid forward making a return to the Premier League despite rumours linking him with a switch to Man Utd and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 30-year-old has only found back of the net three times in 18 games for Zinedine Zidane’s side during the current campaign, and there stays widespread rumours surrounding the Wales international’s future.
Manchester United and Tottenham have both linked with possible moves for the ex-Southampton defender ahead of the 2020-21 season.
However, Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett has suggested that the attacker is not currently interested in making return to Premier League and could “see his career out at Madrid”.
“He has a very nice lifestyle. I don’t see why he doesn’t see his career out at Madrid probably,” Barnett told BBC Sport. “As I’ve always said, he’s quite happy in Madrid.
“It’s his life that he wants to lead. Financially, he will want for nothing the rest of his life, and his children and grandchildren. He’s won nearly everything in the world, except the World Cup, but unfortunately he plays for Wales so some things are beyond him.
“So he’s won everything else, to come back and play [in the Premier League] would be unbelievable – a big thing. I don’t think he wants to do that at the moment. He’s quite happy to play at Real Madrid.”
Walse international forward has won one La Liga trophy, one Copa del Rey tittle and four Champions League crowns with the Los Blancos, where he has a deal until the end of the 2021-22 season.
