Perr Schuurs has claimed that he is not currently thinking about departing from Ajax amid rumours that Liverpool want to secure his services as soon as January transfer window will be re-opened.
The 21-year-old has played 14 games for his Dutch teams this campaign, including both Champions League appearances against Jurgen Klopp’s side.
A recent report suggested that the Mersyeside Reds are lining up a £27m offer for the Dutchman who has a deal in Amsterdam until the end of the 2021-22 season.
However, Schuurs has revealed that he has no plans to depart from Ajax in the nearby future.
“I hear and read [Liverpool rumours] too,” Schuurs told SBS6. “It’s my first season as a regular at Ajax. I want to play here for a few more seasons and win prizes. I’m not really working on that yet.”
The Netherlands Under-21s international has played 35 first-team games for Erik ten Hag’s side and he has been dubbed as the “next Mathias De Light”
Liverpool also been credited with an interest in Ezequiel Garay, who represented Argentina at the 2014 World Cup.
Argentine defender has played 31 games for the Los Blancos between 2009 and 2011, while he played over 100 matches for Valencia before his exit over the summer.
