Liverpool are on the verge to complete £49 million deal for Leicester City forward Riyad Mahrez, according to reports from Britain.
Liverpool and Barcelona have finalised a £142m deal for Philippe Coutinho, who has earlier today being unveiled as a Barcelona player at Nou Camp.
beIN Sports claim that Liverpool are now ready to splash the money and preparing €55m (£49m) for the Premier League winner forward.
The report also claims that Algeria international winger will undergo a medical on Sunday before signing a four-year deal with Liverpool.
Arsenal and Chelsea have also been linked with signing Mahrez. However, Leicester City star looks like to join Liverpool as a replacement for Philipe Coutinho.
AS Roma had also wanted Mahrez as they have seen their £35m offer turned down earlier in the summer.
The Algerian was one of the Foxes star players in their historical title-winning campaign two years ago, while this season he has found the net for seven times and registered seven assists in 22 league games.
The Merseyside Reds had also targeted a move for Thomas Lemar in January, but Monaco claimed this week that the Frenchman would not be allowed to leave the club this month.
Klopp’s side had attempted to sign Monaco star in the closing stages of the summer transfer window. However, the Ligue 1 defending champions refused all offers, including Arsenal.
